It helped the Tulunids Dynasty to defend the Abbasids attack in a better way. At the same time the Tulunids Dynasty also expanded as a result of the conquest. Ahmad Ibn Tulun died in the year 884.

Khumarawaih rule

After the death of Ahmed Ibn Tulun, Khumarawaih rose to power. Under his rule a huge building program took place. The court of the King was also elabotrate. As a result of this the Finnacinl position of the dynasty weakened. This led to the decay and fall of the Tulunid Dynasty. Khumarawaih was killed due to a harem intrigue.

After his death only three other rulers of the Tulunid Dynasty rose to power. Abu I ashir ruled Egypt for less than one year. After his rule Harun took the responsibilities of Egypt and successfully ran the Tulunid Dynasty for eight years. Later Sahiban ruled as a Tulunid ruler for one year. During all the time the Tulunid Dynasty went towards declination. The decay of the dynasty became more and more evident every year.

Later in the year 905 Abbasids again attacked Egypt and conquered it. The weakened Tulunid Dynasty could not defeat them.
