Films like El – Ragol Ellazy Atass in 1985, Hassan Bey El – Ghalban in 1982 and El – Efl in 1983 where offered to these comedians. Classical stories based on the Nasser Era were being focused in many films. Drugs and the lack of roof over people's head where time and again depicted in Egyptian films of the 1980s.
The government also afforded freedom of expression and many films tackled dominant social issues. The dishonesty of businessmen and the depravity among government officials were common topics.

Adel Emam was one of the actors who acted in many of the films produced during those times. He started his career as a comedian and then went on to play a lot of characters. He proved time and again that he was capable of playing any role. His versatility and his talent carved out a career path that peaked during the 70's and went on till the 80's.
