The people of Egypt are considered fairly homogeneous people who have a Hamitic origin. The population of Egypt has influences from the north that is Mediterranean and Arab. It also has people from the south who have origins from northern Sudan and add to the population of Egypt. The vast regions of the Sahara Desert have sparse population. The major part of the urban population dwells in the regions of Alexandria, greater Cairo, Alexandria and the Deltaic regions of Nile.
