The country of Egypt has a rich and long history. The history of Egypt is divided into eight periods. During these eight periods, Egypt has been the witness of rise an fall of several ancient civilizations. In accordance with the historians a total number of thirty dynasties governed the kingdom of Egypt. The 1st and the 2nd dynasty ruled Egypt during the Early Dynastic Period. In the period called Old Kingdom, the third, fourth, fifth, and sixth dynasty ruled Egypt. The First Intermediate Period witnessed the governance of 7/8th Dynasty, 9/10th Dynasty, and 11th Dynasty came into power. The First Intermediate period was followed by the Middle Kingdom. The 11th , and 12th dynasty ruled Egypt during the afore mentioned period in the history of Egypt. After the Middle Kingdom, we come across the Second Intermediate Period in the history of Egypt. The dynasties in Egypt that ruled Egypt during the Second Intermediate Period include the 13th dynasty, fourteen, fifteenth , sixteenth, and seventeenth dynasties. The Second Intermediate Period was followed by the period like New Kingdom, Third Intermediate Period, Late Dynastic Period, and the Graeco-Roman Period. Several dynasties came and went out of power during all these historical periods in Egypt.
The 1st Dynasty, which is one of the main dynasties in Egypt, witnessed the emergence of Egypt as an unified kingdom. This particular dynasty ruled Egypt between c.3100-2890 BCE. The chief rules of the 1st Dynasty include Menes, Wadj (Djet) Wadj, Anendjib, Djer, Qa'a , and Semerkhet. The 2nd dnasty is Egypt came to power after the decline of the 1st dynasty. This aprticu;ar egyptian dynasty ruled between c.2890-2686 BCE. Hotepsekhemwy, Nynetjer, Khasekhemwy, Raneb, and Seth-Peribsen are some of the rulers belonging to the 2nd dynasty.
The 3rd Dynasty The period between c.2686-2613 BCE was governed by the rulers of the 3rd dynasty. Sanakhte, Sekhemkhet, Huni, and Khaba are some of the efficient monarchs that glorified the 3rd dynasty in Egypt. The 4th Dynasty, that came into power during the Old Kingdom, spanned its rule between c.2613-2494 BCE. All the kings belonging to this particular Egyptian dynasty were efficient rulers.

Several kings belonging to several dynasties came to power between the Old Kingdom period and the new Kingdom period. Ahmose is the first king of the New Kingdom. He belonged to the eighteenth dynasty. The credit of reunifying Egypt goes to the aforementioned king of the eighteenth dynasty. After this period also many dynasties in Egypt came to power, and contributed in some or the other way to glorify the country of Egypt.
