History of Cathay Pacific:
This airline company was founded on 24th September, in the year 1946, by Sydney de Kantzow, an Australian and Roy Farell, an American citizen. Both of them were previously air force pilots. Though the company was based in Shanghai in the initial stage, the headquarters was later moved to Hong Kong. during 1970s, flight simulators and computerized reservation system were installed, in order to modernize the flight operations. Cathay Pacific reached its 60th anniversary in the year 2006, which was celebrated through a series of roadshows, in the name of 'Cathay Pacific 60th Anniversary Skyshow'.
