The 30th dynasty of ancient Egypt was followed by the succession of Nectanebo I by Nefaarud II, who was the son of Hakor. The 30 th dynasty is often considered the last period of ancient Egypt. Nectanebo I was among the first ruler of the 30th dynasty of 380 BC. But he spent most of his reign in defending the kingdom from the attacks by Persian rulers with the help of the Greek ruler Athens. In the year 365 B.C, Nectanebo made his son Teos the king and the only heir of his kingdom, and until his
death in 363, both he and his son reigned the kingdom together.
After the death of Nectanebo I, Teos invaded the territories of Persia in modern Syria and Israel. Initially he succeeded in got success in conquering some of the territories when he lost his throne due to the plot created by his own son Tjahepimu. Tjahepimu took the advantage of Nectanebo declaring his son,Nectanebo II the king of Egypt. The Egyptian army attacked Taos which forced him to flee to the court of the king of Persia.

Nectanebo II was overpowered by the Persian rulers and they reconquered Egypt. One of the Greek rulers named Artaxerxes tried to invade Egypt but became unsuccessful. This gave rise to revolts in Cyprus, Phoenicia, and Cilicia. Nectanebo supported these these revolts,but Artaxerxes suppressed these rebellions and was once again successfully invaded Egypt in 343 BC. He was successful in his second invasion, and Nectanebo was over thrown from his throne.
Nectanebo, after his defeat fled south to Nubia, where he found shelter at the court of King Nastesen of Napata.

After that one of the rebels named Khababash proclaimed himself king from the year 338 to 336 BC. Nectanebo was considered to be one of the the last pharaoh of Egypt, and after he lost his kingdom,Egypt became an independent kingdom.
The Pharaohs of this 30th dynasty,were interested in art and architecture. They constructed temples, encouraged art and literature. The 30th dynasty saw its downfall with the death of Nectanebo II, and the Persians took over the kingdom of Egypt.
