The Pharaohs Empire Era

Egypt remained an unified state for above five thousand years. In accordance with the archaeological evidence, the society that existed in the unified Egypt was a much developed society. The Egyptians are proud of their “Pharaonic heritage”. It is the Pharaohs Empire era that glorified the country of Egypt. While talking about the pharaonic heritage , the Egyptians say that it descended from the earliest civilization of mankind.

The Pharaohs refer to the monarchs who governed the country of Egypt in the ancient period. However, the people living in the ancient Egypt did not regard their kings as Pharaohs. It is the Greeks and the Hebrews who referred to the Egyptian kings as Pharaohs. A considerable of kings ruled the country of Egypt during the Pharaohs Empire Era. Apart from them , some of Egyptians queen governing Egypt during this time also claimed themselves as pharaohs.

There were also monarchs who administered the Egyptian country before the period of recorded history. The ancient historians possesses in their record the name of those Pharaohs who in the later years were considered the Egyptian gods. Many of the celebrated Pharaohs in Egypt needs special mention here. They are Menes, Tutkanhamon, Nefertiti, Amenhotep, and Hatshepsut. All these Pharaohs who ruled Egypt during the Pharaohs empire era were efficient rulers.

Menes, who is considered to be one of the Egyptians pharaohs, founded the 1st dynasty i Egypt. He is also the first of the Egyptian monarchs who contributed in the unification of the Upper Egypt and lower Egypt to create a single kingdom. Ancient Egypt's predominant civilization began at the time when Menes of Memphis came into power.
During his administration, the soldiers of Egyptian soldiers battled against the Nubians and became successful in expanding his rule to the First Cataract.

Hatshepsut, is another of the pharaohs in Egypt. He is the fifth ruler belonging to the 18th Dynasty. Thutmose I is the father of Hasheput while Queen Ahmose was Hatshepsut's mother. She married her half-brother called Thutmose II. His son, Thutmose III was announced the heir after the demise of Thutmose II. But as Thutmose III was very young to act as the ruler, Hatshepsut was chosen as the regent. At last in the year 1473, she claimed herself as a pharaoh. She governed the country with extreme expertise.

Amenhotep IV, another pharaoh , also belonged to the 18th Dynasty. Tutankhamun, the 12th ruler of the 18th dynasty, became the monarch when he was only eight years old.
