Una’s Pyramid seemed to contain numerous evidence of the social life and local customs of the people of that epoch. Having a height of 43m and a base of 57.75m, the Pyramid of Unas is located in proximity to the step Pyramid. The Pyramid of Unas at Saqqara, may be the smallest of the old kingdom pyramids, but it is held more famous and better known than Una king himself.

Gaston Maspero was the one who was able to enter the chambers in 1881. He discovered that the walls of the burial chambers of the pyramid were covered by the texts known as the Pyramid Texts.
In the burial chamber of the Pyramid of Unas, the visitors will find the remains of a mummy including the skull, right arm and shin. It is not certain, whether these belong to Unas or not. As you move towards the north east of the main pyramid, there are mastabas that contain the burials of the companions of the king. This pyramid has acquired global fame, as it is the place from where we got to know about the 128 magical spells of the Pyramid Text. The visitors will be enchanted to find a number of relics of the past that will take them back to those glorious days of Egypt.
