The Coptic monastries of St. Anthony's and St. Paul's are also notable for their religious importance. The monastry of St.Paul is located in the south of Zafarana. The remains of the saint are placed in one of the 3 churches of the monastry. The monastry is full with spectacular objects like- freshwater springs, alters with candles, colorful wall paintings and eggs of ostrich symbolizing Resurrection.

The monastry of St. Anthony is situated in the southeast of Zafarana. It remains open from 8 o' clock in the morning to 6 o' clock in the evening. The church where the burial of St. Anthony took place is a thing of importance. The library of the monastry hold one thousand seven hundred handwritten manuscripts.
