Nuweiba

Nuweiba in Egypt is famous for its ideal location and wild natural beauty. It is located on the South Sinai coast. The distance of Nuweiba from the south of Taba is 70 km, from North of Sharm el Sheikh is 180 km and from Saint Katherine is 110 km. Although Nuweiba is not so developed as a tourist resort, yet it has been a favorite spot for the tourists since the 80s. With the passage of time Nuweiba has gained importance and observed many hotels to be built in its beaches.

Nuweiba can be the holiday destination of the people who wants something different, from the so called travel experience, full of tribal life and unique natural views. Nuweiba has several spots to visit. The locations of the place are featured with their individual characters. However, the three main sections of Nuweiba which attract the tourists are Nuweiba Tarabin, Nuweiba Town and the Dunes.

Nuweiba Tarabin:
This is the northern part of Nuweiba. It is mainly consisted of palm forest, remains of a fort of Turkey and a bay which is shallow. There is a well inside the ruins of the fort. History tells us that the fort has been the source of fresh water for the Bedouins. The beach of Tarabin is filled with unique restaurants. The restaurants are decorated in the style of Bedouins with relaxing cushions and carpets. The markets of Tarabin are also colorful with various types of materials.

Nuweiba Town:
The Nuweiba Town can be taken as the center for the places like Tarabin and Dunes. Its importance lies in the fact that it has marked the boundary of the tribes like Muzeina tribe and the Tarabin tribe. The facilities of hotels, supermarkets, bank, post office and telephone communication are all available at the town.

The Dunes:
The dunes act the link between the Nuweiba Muzeina, an industrial area, and the town of Nuweiba. The shore of the place is full of hotels, camps and coral reefs which make the beaches spectacular. There are 2 divisions of the dunes – Duna and Small Duna. Small Duna has most of the camps and hotels in its southern side. Duna has its attraction of being the romantic place with superb views, thatched bungalows, small restaurants and hotels.
