The Roman Empire Era

The Roman empire era was a civilization that emerged from a small agricultural community which settled on the peninsula of Italy during the 9th century BC. During the Roman empire era the kingdoms spread extensively throughout Mediterranean sea. During the twelve centuries of the Roman empire era, they shifted from a monarchy, to a republic form of government. It was the combination of oligarchy and democracy,further to an autocratic empire. It became dominating the western Europe and the nearby areas of the Mediterranean sea .

Speaking about Egypt. The Romans ruled over this land for nearly a decade. The Roman empire era was often grouped into "classical antiquity".This civilization was inspired much with the culture of ancient period. The ancient period has distinct forms of law, war, art, literature,architecture,technology and foreign language. The history continues to have a major influence on ancient Rome. According to legend, Rome was established by the twin descendants of the Trojan prince Aeneas, Romulus and Remus on April 21, 753 BC.

The Romans followed the system of hierarchy,emperors were usually at the top of social order in Rome. There were some specific qualifications required for Romans to be enter the class of equestrians or senators. Even the slaves in the Roman empire had different rights from citizens. There were many cultures at Rome .So the people were identified by their rank within the social structure.

The Roman empire era was one of the best phases of history which witnessed many great warriors like Julius Caesar. For two thousand years, the world was ruled by Rome. Starting from England, Africa, Syria to Spain. according to history more than one fourth of the people on earth lived and died under the law of Roman.

The Roman empire saw its downfall in the 5th century AD. By this the Roman empire era got influenced by many internal conflicts and was attacked by various rebels of the western part of the empire which included the Hispania, Gaul, and Italy. Later it broke into many broke into many independent kingdoms. The eastern part of the empire was ruled from Constantinople,as it survived these crisis.

It existed till the next millennium, until its last remains were finally overpowered by the Ottoman Empire. This eastern and the medieval era of the Roman empire is usually said to be the Byzantine Empire by the historians.

The Roman empire era saw its end during the coming of 476 AD,when the last king of the western Roman empire,Augustus, was killed. By this time the Empire had been divided into many parts. Only emperor Diocletian became the sole Emperor of the undivided parts of Rome.
